Steve's quilt

For Christmas, I made my son-in-law a rag-seam quilt to replace an old, loved one that went "to it's final resting place".  He also retired from the Fire Department and is starting a new phase of life, full of adventure and new experiences, so I thought a new quilt, for making new memories would be appropriate.  Now, I need to get to the quilting on my daughter's character quilt that was assembled before Christmas!

So proud of your accomplishments, Steve!!

Re-purposed from saved flannel shirts, pajamas, and jeans. (And some flannel gifts from a friend.
Tied off every other 3" square, so it should be very durable and warm!!

So you don't have to look back in the blog to see the other project coming up, here it is  It has been sashed, posted and sandwiched.  Ready for quilting.  Storm coming tomorrow, so probably a good time to settle in underneath it!

What a great, warm snuggly quilt for Steve! Hope to see some progress on the Characters - it does look like the perfect day for quilting here in the mountains!
