This semester in high school, my Granddaughter was asked to choose a community project. She chose to collect children's books for the local orphanage. She produced her own video asking for help, and the youth pastor played it one Sunday after she placed a large box in the entry asking for donations. Two retired teachers donated a total of 600 ( 200 and 400). Then others donated too. Her goal was 200 and the response was overwhelming. As you can see below, she had collected over 1000 books!! What a blessing! She will be delivering them this week-end to Eliada Home for Children.
She and her brother both made the honor roll this semester!! Good kids they are!!!!

Wow! I bet they have really amazing parents. :)
I'll bet you are right!! :)
......or grand parents!
....that too!! :)
Enough of the family bragging now... well o.k. go ahead these kids merit the brags. All the generations of ancestors have to share credit. The boxes and boxes of books is an impressive collection - I guess she had no idea these two teachers each had a collection that needed to find a new home. But then she added a few more hundred (!!!!) to that -- hope Eliada has a big library and help in the stacks!!!
