"Underwater Fantasy" in progress

I had a friend wonder if I had given up on my blog.  No way!!  I'm just in the middle of the LONG part of the quilting process.  Here are some pictures to show with all the markings.  It is all done with water soluble ink so when I'm done and the quilt is all bound off (and closed up), I can wash it all away.  If you recall, there are 20 blocks in this quilt and I have done 10.......so-o-o......10 more to go plus the borders.  I hope to have it done by her birthday in mid April....wish me luck!!

The "Book Character Quilt" still awaits the fabric for the sashing and posts from a VERY BUSY lady who is currently in Denver having a grand time, along with a workshop on Literacy and Writing.

I also was given a new sewing machine by my ever generous husband!  It is a Singer Confidence Quilter, which has a "hand-quilting" stitch on it (plus  100+ more).  I was having a little trouble with my thumb (arthritis probably), so he invested in my future so I could keep going when the thumb quits working well.

Isn't it great how the quilt looks so good when you put it together, you don't see how it could be any better - then you start the quilting and it adds a new lively dimension!
