Apple Barn and Wonder Works

Today we headed over to Pigeon Forge/Sevierville to have lunch at the Apple Barn.  We tried the furthest restaurant this time (the original building) instead of the first one.  It was just as good, but the new one is more open.  This one was an old house, so the dining rooms were somewhat small and "intimate".

Then we headed over to Wonder Works....that up-side down building on the main road near the Titanic exhibit.  The kids really enjoyed it!!  Lots of fun things to do and learn and "wonder" at.....

Yummy lunch, then picked up another case of apple butter

Wonder Works

In the lobby

Pulleys to raise yourself in a seat

Hurricane winds!

No one wanted to ride this, but it is like that "pirate ship" ride at the fair that swings back and forth until it goes around.......this one is powered by yourself!!  Pedaling!!

"Speed of Light"  how fast can you punch the lights out?!!

Rock climbing

to the top of the blue

AND the orange

Pulley yourself up again

Haley the astronaut

David on the ropes course...It went to the ceiling (too dark for pics) about 2 stories high

Smooth plexiglass that slid up and down over the nails...once you got situated on the plexiglass, it was lowered and you were lying on the nails

the nails

The "most relaxed" person could send their EEG waves to move the ball to the other side

See how Geemie's waves are almost flat and Grandad is hopping all around!!

The "bubble lab" seemed to be the most popular activity in the building!
