UPDATE 2 on Character quilt

Shashing and posts put on and quilt top done.  Ready to make a sandwich and start the hand-quilting process.............................  the first picture just shows the layout but doesn't allow the colors to "shine"...it's a very gray day..second pic gives a little closer look and the third picture shows it pretty well (the colors).  She chose subtle subdued colors so as not to take away from the characters themselves.

This is perfect - I especially like that green stripe for the sashing strips - it's happy! but in a very quiet way. The desired effect=achieved!

Cheryl, I must tell you that I had a devil of a time with the green stripe. I didn't realize seersucker was so STRETCHY!! I have a few tiny "tucks/puckers" where it wouldn't cooperate and ease in!! You can't really tell, but I know they are there.

but when you put batting under it, it will handle any easing you had to do, making it perfect!
