Planning for Spring

Today was really pretty, so I decided to plan a little for Spring.  The next few days through the week-end will be “wintry” with “snix”, as my son-in-law calls it, so maybe inside days for a while.  That’s OK, too, because there is quilting to be done.

If you saw a prior post on Facebook or Pinterest, there was a picture of an “herb tower” that I thought was a neat idea, so I got some galvanized containers today at Tractor Supply and they will await the Spring planting.  Although the original post was for herbs, I think it would be pretty with colorful blooms intermixed too!  Until David drills drainage holes for me, I will leave them upside-down with all the precipitation we have coming our way.

The little dwarf Alberta Spruce is needing a bigger “house”, so I got a big galvanized can to re-pot it.

The three pot metal tower was an impulse buy, but I already had the graduated pots to go on it.  I picture “trailers” or “climbers” planted there.  One of the pots will probably keep a perennial evergreen, another pot maybe a colorful perennial, and the other pot for a color burst of annuals.

AND, last but not least, some waterproof boots for playing in the creek (or using in the snow (if we ever get any!!)

OK.....I'm ready for SNOW now!!!  Come on!!
