Post Surgery

After open heart surgery to replace an aorta valve and perform three by-passes, David is out of the hospital and recuperating quickly at home.  Each day, a walk is taken and a minute is added to a morning walk and an evening walk.  We are up to 9 minutes for each walk now.  After he gets to 30 minutes, he is to continue that 5-7 days a week forever!

Today he walked most of the way to the mailbox and then back again (that includes a hill coming back).

Going back to the house

Most of you know that our favorite "home away from home" is the Biltmore Estate with our favorite spot between the pond and the river.  Since we aren't quite ready to walk it yet, we drove around the whole circle to see "our" place.

The walled garden was planted with beautiful coleus and mums.  Had to take pics from the car, and there were plenty of cars today, so they aren't real close, but you get the idea.

Hopefully, we'll be able to go back and the mums will still be there for us to see close.

Over by the pond, they were having a fly-fishing class....neat boat, huh?!! All wood.

Even the geese came to welcome us back.
