CSA

Yesterday (every other Friday) Sandy and I share a CSA box of fresh produce from a local farmer.  We get fresher food, and the local guys get to stay in business!!  The beginning of the season gave us many greens for cooking and salads, and we discovered a new one called Joi Choi.....so flavorful and tender!

 I thought I would pass along a few pics of the veggies we got yesterday.  I have already put a lot of green beans and squash in the freezer for later, and the tomatoes and peppers have been wonderful!  Winter squashes are coming in now and they are delicious, but the eggplant has been all for Sandy.  I tried it twice and that was enough for me.
