Well, David has helped me test all I know to test and the blog seems to be available to only my friends who already blog or have a google account. There also seems to be a problem for them setting up a google account, so I'm not sure where this is going now. I have set the comment options to "anyone", so why aren't they able to comment? I also gave David an invite to be an "author" and that doesn't work for him either.
We had another friend who started a blog and we both (David and I) had the same problem. For some reason her blog finally decided to let me post, but not him.
He also tried to search the internet for it and it was "not found". I have since changed the setting for "search the internet", (or something like that) to be on/yes.
Suppose I should yank it and start over and just make it public from the beginning? If I do that, will I be able to keep my title, or will Google archive it and think it's "not available"?
If any of you can help, that would be most appreciated. Thanks!!

Some changes do take a while to take effect - but I don't know which or why. Whatever you did, I can now subscribe to this blog in Google Reader, which I was not able to do yesterday. Good luck!
I piece of progress. Thanks for letting me know.
Not sure it matters but are you both using the same computer? At any rate, looks like you are well on your way to having a great blog!!
No, we each have our own laptop. Thanks, I hope it gets easier and better as it goes along.
